UNIQUE FRIENDS SCHOOLS GAMMA TERM/END OF SESSION NEWSLETTER
Dear Esteemed Unique Parents/Guardians, as we graciously come to the end of the Gamma term of the 2024/2025 academic session, we want to provide you with highlights of events and activities that we carried out in the concluded term/session and also keep you acquainted with preparations for the new session of 2025/2026.
1. Academics
We had a very hitch-free and successful academic term as we were able to complete our schemes.
Our students actively participated in various academic activities, routine tests, terminal and promotional examinations, including projects, debates, seminars and extracurricular activities aimed at fostering holistic development.
1.1 Our outgoing SS3 students successfully concluded their SSCE with some of them still writing the NECO examinations. Our 2025 JAMB results remained upbeat!
1.2 Our JSS 3 also completed their BECE and NECO examinations successfully.
We are proud of the progress and achievements of our students across different levels.
We particularly appreciate our educators and staff whose hard work, resilience and professionalism have remained the formidable pillars on which our excellent services revolve.
1.3 The exit classes for our Primary school section are presently preparing to write their CAS/Placement examinations which will come up on July 26th, 2025.
2. Extracurricular activities
2.1 The Alpha term opened the curtain of our creative and mind-blowing extracurricular activities with a Christmas Carnival held on 13th of December, 2024 in the school premises. It was fun and extremely colourful. As usual, our Parents contributed magnanimously towards the success of the event.
2. 2 The Beta term featured our maiden Intercontinental Cultural Day which took our usual Cultural Day events across the globe. The event which featured colourful cultural activities from seven countries was held on the 21st March, 2025. It was global in concept, implementation and outcome. The event broke the social media space!
2.3 The Gamma term extended our creativity frontiers with an event termed "Me @100 years" where the Primary section displayed their appreciation to parents, grandparents and the aged by dressing and acting as if they were already at 100 years of age. This event brought about story telling as teaching methodology. The wow event was held on May 23rd, 2025. The Gamma term also witnessed our celebration of the 2025 Children’s day on May 26th, 2025.
3. Parents/Teachers Forum and Open Day

4. 2025/2026 Academic Session Students EXCO Elections
New SRC for the College was held on 2nd July, 2025. The Primary sections had Prefects manifestos on June 26th 2025.
5. Six UFS students, led by the Proprietress, Mrs. Akogwu participated in a leadership development program held at the American Consulate, Victoria Island on 8th May, 2025 for High school prefects. The training was a memorable one. Many schools were invited but, as usual, the UFS team stood out from the other schools.
6. AI/Robotics/Coding and Abacus programs
Our students are doing extremely well in these special programs and we encourage all our parents to register their children in the new school year to help them remain relevant in the emerging global environment of automation.
7. Discipline
We are happy to report that our disciplinary measures are gradually impacting positively on our children as we were able to curtail extreme behaviour challenges during the session. The Student handbook remains our reference points for all disciplinary actions and parents are expected to review it thoroughly with their children and ensure that they remain compliant always. The school is still battling with the use of personal phones by our students as parents have largely refused to accept the school's advice on the negative impacts of social media involvement on the academic activities of the students at this age.
8. Punctuality: The school Management implores our Unique Parents to assist us on the issue of punctuality. The Management will not accept any form of lateness from the students as from the next session. The use of the Klacify clocking cards will continue to be emphasized.
9. Admin Office
